‘90
Five actresses and actors interested in political theater and recent history, together with director David Schwartz, aim to investigate and re-evaluate the post-socialist period, starting from personal memories and family histories. The show ‘90 is the result of a process of recollection and theatricalization of multiple experiences and family events, oscillating between emotional involvement and critical distancing. Through five family stories, we follow the radical reconfiguration of Romanian society - from the anti-communist rewriting of the biographies of the intellectual and academic elite to the privatization of public housing; from the mirage of entrepreneurial adventures, to the degradation of the lives of workers and public servants.
